Lean Manufacturing: Fleximate® Transport Line

The Fleximate® Transport Line consists of modular workstations joined together to create JIT custom assembly cells designed to meet your lean manufacturing needs. These workstations form an easy flowing transport line to provide extremely efficient delivery of work through progressive assembly. Our customers have seen substantial improvements in their lean manufacturing and six sigma metrics through the implementation of our Fleximate® transport lines.

You can see a sample animation of one of our systems to the right. This simulation consists of 2 standing height Fleximate® workstations #80039 and 80030, with a lowering elevator on the right side and a lifting elevator on the left side, #50001. The cart/pallet travel is worker paced. This is just one example of how the Fleximate® Transport products can assist you in meeting your lean manufacturing goals.

	Flowmate® workstation #80039 provides an ergonomic work space for point of install processes.	80030 Fleximate® station with return with accessories. This station is the basic building block of the Fleximate® transport line.
As carts progress from station to station through the build process, assemblers are able to work at maximum efficiency because time-consuming stock outs and part presentations problems, and wasteful handling are virtually eliminated. A fixed number of carts can be queued between stations creating a KanBan effect, thereby reducing "work-in-progress." Our standard transport line has a 70 lb. per cart capacity and the heavy duty version is rated for 150 lbs. We also have built many systems with higher capacities.
